Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), formerly known as Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) and also as allergic granulomatosis and angiitis, refers to a multisystem, necrotizing, ANCA-associated vasculitis affecting small and medium-sized vessels, characterized by asthma and eosinophilia. ANCA responsiveness can be positive or negative.
