What is a surgical suture?
By suture we mean a surgical procedure that allows the edges of a wound and/or two stumps to be brought together, making them solid.
Surgical suture uses a suture material to hold parts of body tissues together or bring together the edges of a continuous solution after an injury or surgery, creating better conditions that the tissues acquire, as they heal, an intrinsic cohesive force which restore continuity and they heal.
It constitutes one of the main moments of an intervention, so much so that it often influences the results.
